Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist with expertise in general, vascular, and breast ultrasound. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic imaging procedures, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including general, vascular, and breast studies, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Patient Interaction: Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the ultrasound process, answering questions, and ensuring comfort during examinations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- Image Quality: Analyze and evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality; make adjustments as needed to obtain optimal results.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient records, including examination findings and images, in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with information about ultrasound procedures and follow-up care, as necessary.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, participating in relevant training and professional development activities.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Licensure/Certification: Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with ultrasound technology, anatomy, pathology, and best practices in patient care.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
