Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a certified sterile processing technician training program.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sterile processing.
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) required.
- CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) or CSIS (Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist) preferred.
- CHL (Certified Health Care Leader) or CSPM (Certified in Sterile Processing Management) within 18 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate shift operations and services.
- Oversee quality control and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Assist with staff training, development, and performance management.
- Maintain internal visibility and supervise department activities.
- Perform routine quality and safety checks.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory orders, equipment maintenance, and staffing assignments.
- Ensure verification of pre and post sterilization quality indicators.
