Job Details
- Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid: On-site Tuesday to Thursday, Work From Home Monday and Friday)
- Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 annually
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Permanent
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential required
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) credential required within one year of hire
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in risk adjustment coding activities in a Medicare/ACA or provider organization
- Expert knowledge of risk adjustment, Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC), medical terminology, and medical chart review
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Analyze member clinical charts, diagnosis data, and CPT Codes for coding accuracy
- Conduct prospective chart coding reviews and recommend solutions for improvement
- Identify and communicate trends in provider coding and documentation
- Train new clinical analysts and guide staff in risk adjustment procedures and policies
- Provide clinical and coding guidance for provider education and communication materials
- Participate in corporate-wide projects to drive the collection of clinical data
- Train providers on risk adjustment coding policies both virtually and on-location
- Maintain knowledge of HCC/risk adjustment, coding, and documentation requirements
