Regional Director - IDD / Adult Behavioral Health

We are seeking an experienced Regional Director to oversee operations and strategic planning for Residential Care Facilities in Los Angeles County, serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to lead impactful initiatives in a vibrant and culturally diverse region.

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Local
  • Hours Per Week: 40
  • Location: On-Site in Los Angeles County
  • Start Date: January 2, 2025
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 8 Hour Days, 5 days per week
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2600 - $2790

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, nursing, social work, rehabilitation education, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in healthcare or social services
  • 10 years of experience in long-term care, healthcare, social services, rehabilitation, or related industries
  • 5 years of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and medical fragility
  • Expertise in clinical service delivery to individuals with disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations
  • Current knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet organizational needs
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner
  • Ensure financial accountability and implement cost-effective initiatives
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on policies and procedures to enhance service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
  • Direct programs to maintain staff structure for comprehensive 24-hour support
  • Identify and establish staff training needs in collaboration with shared services
  • Monitor quality of programs and implementation of best practices
  • Maintain relationships with funding agencies, families, and community service providers
  • Oversee Program Administrators to ensure accountability and quality care
  • Facilitate crisis management and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
  • Develop and maintain an organizational culture of team building and collaboration
  • Assist in developing plans of correction for licensure and certification
  • Manage departmental purchasing and ensure compliance with corporate policies
  • Conduct investigations of alleged staff misconduct as required
  • Participate in corporate policy development and program audits
