Position: Director of Staff Development
Hours: 32 hours per week, with an optional additional day for RN duties if desired for a full 40-hour workweek.
Compensation: $43 - $50 per hour

Role Summary:
As the Director of Staff Development, you will lead the charge in designing and implementing impactful training and development programs for our staff. This role will ensure our team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to provide top-notch care for our residents.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and facilitate staff training programs and new employee orientation.
- Collaborate with management to identify and address ongoing training needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all employee training activities.
- Create and manage a mentoring program to support new staff members.
- Arrange and coordinate employee participation in external training seminars and workshops.
- Oversee health protocols, including PPD testing, physicals, and vaccinations.
- Ensure team readiness through education on emergency preparedness and infection control practices.
- Advocate for resident rights and integrate them into staff training sessions.
- Participate actively in our quality assurance program, recommending improvements as needed.
- Assist in planning the staff development budget.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of Delaware
- Current CPR certification
- At least one year of experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing preferred
- Experience in staff training or in-service education within a healthcare setting highly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is a plus
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
