Position Type: Locum Tenens
Pay Rate: $135.00 - $145.00/hr (Paid weekly and eligible for health benefits)
Duration and Shift: 10 shifts per month plus on call

Join us as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens role in Flagstaff, AZ. This position offers a great balance of flexibility and responsibility, with only one day required for orientation.
Responsibilities:
- Support the cardiothoracic surgeon in various procedures
- Manage 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients daily
- Perform 1-2 surgeries per day
- Handle specialized procedures like temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with proficiency in endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH)
- Education:
- PA: Graduate from a university program accredited by the NCCPA
- NP: Master’s degree in nursing; completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program; RN/NP First Assistant Program
- Certification:
- PA: Certified or certification eligible by the NCCPA
- NP: Medical-Surgical or NP certification from ANCC or AANP
- Licensure:
- PA: Eligible for licensing in Arizona
- NP: Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license
- Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)
