Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant or Experienced Nurse Practitioner in Clackamas OR

Pay Rate: $4750 -$5200

Dates of Coverage:

ASAP – 3-6 Months with an option to extend

Shifts/Schedule Expectations:

OR: 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM

Inpatient Rounding: 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM

Daily Responsibilities:

Inpatient Rounding: Approximately 10-15 patients per day

OR Duties: Primarily hospital-based, including pulling epicardial wires, chest tubes, vein harvesting, and EVH (Endoscopic Vein Harvesting). Must be proficient in EVH and First Assist. Radial artery harvest experience is also required.

Scheduling: Depending on the number of prescheduled cases, one provider will be assigned to the OR, one as a backup, and two will handle rounding on the floor. Generally, 2 OR cases per day.

Call Schedule/Responsibilities:

Rotation: 1:4 between providers (1:4 weekdays and 1:4 weekends)

Weekdays: Likely minimal calls with rare in-house visits

Weekends: Round in the AM for a few hours, then on call for the remainder of the time. Calls may be taken but in-house visits are unlikely.

Call Preference: Call responsibilities are preferred but not required; non-call providers are still welcome.
