Job Description
GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant for a 13 -26-week contract in San Franciso, California. The Physician Assistant will join a large team of CT Surgeon’s and PA-Cs in this busy cardiac surgery department.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $4.500-$6,500 ( Travel Stipends Available for candidates outside of 50 mile radius.
- Setting: Hospital - Cardiovascular Surgery
- Start Date: 4/22/24
- Shift: 7:30am- 4:00pm Monday to Friday ; no on-call required.
- Weekend rotation optional, with day of during the week.
- Duration: 13-week contract; option to extend
Job Requirements
- Valid California License as a Physician Assistant
- 3 years of clinical experience as a first assist during cardiovascular surgery
- ACLS
- Clinical skills required include:
- Pulling Epicardial Wires, Chest Tubes
- Vein Harvesting
- Must be proficient in EVH and First Assist
- Endoscopic radial artery harvest experience HIGHLY preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on hospital floor before and after cardiac surgery
- First assist in the operating room during cardiovascular surgery
- Conduct beside procedures as needed
- Hospitals rounds
