On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) - Deerfield, IL

Join our compassionate healthcare team as an On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in the Lake, McHenry, and Northern Cook County areas. This unique opportunity offers a balanced schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, allowing you to work only 26 weeks a year. Provide essential hospice care to patients in their final stages of life, ensuring comfort and dignity.

Job Details

• Location: Deerfield, IL (Zip Code: 60015) - A vibrant community known for its excellent schools, beautiful parks, and welcoming atmosphere.
• Shift: 16-hour nights, 5 PM - 9 AM
• Compensation: $85,000 - $90,000 annually
• Additional Benefits: Mileage reimbursement, $30 monthly cell reimbursement

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in hospice or home healthcare is strongly preferred
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to hospice patients during on-call hours
• Respond to patient needs, including new admissions, falls, and end-of-life care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
• Participate in the on-call rotation, working 7 days on and 7 days off
