Nursing Unit Director – Psychiatric Emergency Services
Magnet Status Trauma Center in Southeastern Pennsylvania is currently seeking an experienced Nursing Leadership Professional for a Nursing Unit Director role in their Brand New Psychiatric Emergency Services Department. This prestigious level II Trauma Center, located in the Philadelphia suburbs, has consistently been at the forefront of medical excellence with state-of-the-art technology and highly trained medical professionals, offering both clinical expertise and compassion.
The Nursing Unit Director will be responsible for 24/7 accountability for planning and operations of the unit, ensuring quality patient care delivery. Patients will range from pediatrics through geriatrics and will be treated in the Psychiatric Emergency Services Unit of this newly expanded Emergency Department. This is specialized, secure unit within the ED serving patients with acute mental illness crisis. The PES unit sees about 450 patients per month.
The ideal Nursing Unit Director Candidate will bring more than 5 years of psychiatric and crisis intervention nursing experience with at least 2 years of Nursing Leadership Experience within acute care psychiatric care.

Salary: depends on experience, ranging from $95K-$125K
Relocation assistance available for ideal applicant who lives at least 50 miles from the hospital.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of psychiatric nursing experience, preferably within a crisis center or psychiatric emergency department
- BSN is required, MSN or MBA highly preferred
- Valid RN license in the state of PA
- Certification in Psychiatric Nursing highly preferred
- CPR and ACLS certifications
