Pay Rate: $130.00 - $142.00 HR (paid weekly and eligible for health benefits)
Shift Details:
- 12-hour shifts
- PICU: 6:15 AM/PM Signout
- TCUP: 6:30 AM/PM Signout
- 30-minute self-determined unpaid lunch break per shift
- 12 shifts per month
- Support Staff: Collaborative team environment
- Patients per Day:
- PICU Day: M-F 5:1, Weekends 7:1
- PICU Nights: 10:1
- TCUP Day: 5-8:1
- TCUP Nights: 16:1
- Patient Population/Age: Pediatric
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU): Provides high-level care for critically ill infants and children with 20 beds, managing over 1,000 admissions annually from across the western U.S. via ambulance, helicopter, and airplane.
- Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCUP): A 16-bed unit for infants and children with moderate to high complexity conditions or recovering from surgery. Includes care for post-solid organ transplantation, non-invasive mechanical ventilation (BIPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula), anticoagulant therapy titration, and post-operative specialty surgery care (ENT, neurosurgery).
- EMR System: EPIC
- Skills Required: Expertise in pediatric intensive care and transitional care.
- Practice Setting: Hospital
- Board Certification:
- Nurse Practitioners: CPNP-AC certified
- Physician Assistants: Masters in physician assistant studies or medical studies
- License Required: California
- DEA Registration: Required
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of recent/relevant experience
