GHR is Seeking an Advanced Practice RN - Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Location: Vernon Texas
Pay Rate: $ 70.00 -80.00 Hourly (paid weekly and eligible for benefits)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification to join our team at the Vernon Campus. This role involves overseeing the medical care of a unit with 30-75 clients, providing acute illness, injury, or follow-up care, and handling new admissions. The position requires performing clinics in the morning and maintaining high standards of patient care and compliance with relevant guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the medical care for a unit of 30-75 clients.
- Conduct 5-15 patient evaluations per day for acute illnesses, injuries, or follow-up care.
- Manage new admissions and ensure completion within 24 hours.
- Perform morning clinics as scheduled.
Job Requirements:
- Adherence to immunization requirements set by HHSC.
- Completion of drug testing as mandated by HHSC.
- Submission to fingerprinting as required by HHSC.
- Completion of facility and HHSC mandatory training.
- Ability to pass Treatment, Intervention, and Protection Strategies (TIPS) training.
- Compliance with facility Standard Operating Procedures and accrediting agency guidelines, including Joint Commission, CMS Standards, and HHSC Standards, Rules, and Directives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in treating patients with mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities.
Licensure and Certification:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Current certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (RN, FNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Unrestricted Texas RN license and authorization to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current registration with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Texas Department of Public Safety Controlled Substance Board.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI#) as defined by Medicare Part B.
- Current CPR certification.
Schedule:
- Typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential adjustments based on hospital needs as determined by the Director.
