Position: Mental Health Counselor

Type: Contract Assignment

Location: Dodge City, KS

Duration: 3 -6 Months

Role Highlights:

Conduct thorough client assessments to discern their mental health requisites and concerns.

Collaborate with clients to devise personalized treatment blueprints, encompassing goals and interventions.

Execute individual and group counseling sessions, incorporating proven therapeutic methodologies.

Extend crisis intervention and backing to clients navigating acute mental health struggles.

Forge collaborations with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and resource coordination.

Uphold accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, and related documentation.

Champion client rights and facilitate access to community resources and supportive initiatives.

Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and avenues for professional growth.

Prerequisites:

Possession of a master’s degree in social work or related discipline.

Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.

Experience of at least 2 years within mental health environments.

Profound familiarity with mental health assessment tools, evidence-based therapeutic techniques, and interventions.

Ability to collaborate harmoniously with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Exceptional communication skills and adeptness in interpersonal interactions.

Display of compassion, empathy, and non-judgmental demeanor in client interactions.

Awareness of local community resources and supportive services.
