GHR Search is seeking a locum tenens Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a 3-6-month contract opportunity in Los Angeles, California!
Ideal candidates must have pediatric hospital experience working with cardiology.
**3 shifts per week – 7a-7p **
- Total Weekly Take Home Pay of Up to $5,000!
- Local NON-Traveler Rate $115-130/HR
- Travel Rates Stipend is $256/day or $1,792 per week.
- Day/Night shift available – 7a-7p OR 7p-7a
- 36 hours/week
- Target Start Date: September 2023
- Weekly Pay
- Benefits available on contract (medical, dental, vision, 401k)
- W2 Status
- Possible Contract Extension
This Los Angeles hospital is seeking an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology! They need a dedicated professional to work alongside their Attending Cardiologists in their inpatient Cardiology Service. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to patients in their Cardiac Step-down unit CV Acute, catering to both congenital heart disease and acquired conditions.
As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology, you will be an integral part of their healthcare team, offering advanced nursing and medical services. Your focus will be on promoting health, preventing diseases, and effectively diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including obtaining and documenting patient medical history, conducting physical examinations, obtaining informed consent for procedures, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and lab results, prescribing medications and treatments, as well as recommending non-pharmacologic therapies in a cost-effective manner.
You will have the autonomy to work independently, while also collaborating with various healthcare professionals to accurately diagnose and manage their clients' healthcare needs. Additionally, you will serve as a valuable resource, offering interdisciplinary consultations and advocating for their patients. Their patient and family-focused model of care will guide your practice, ensuring that their patients receive the highest level of attention and support.
Required Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner:
- Must hold a current and active NP license in California
- 3+ years of Pediatric experience
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiology experience
- Certs: ACLS, BLS, ENLS (Emergency Neurological Life Support)
- Possesses the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position.
