LCSW - Corrections

Join a healthcare team as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in a correctional facility, providing exceptional mental health care to inmates/patients. This permanent role in the corrections sector offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on mental health management.

Job Details

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Pay Range: $90,000 - $98,000/yr (Depending on Experience)
• Hours Per Week: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk
• Shift: 5-8 hour shifts per week, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with rotation of weekend coverage

Job Requirements

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in corrections or similar healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of psychological and psychosocial aspects of individual interrelationships

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services including intake, crisis intervention, individual counseling, and group counseling
• Analyze psychological/psychosocial aspects to understand individual thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
• Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate and implement appropriate inmate/patient care
• Prepare and maintain progress notes and discharge summaries
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for inmates/patients
• Facilitate therapeutic groups addressing specific treatment issues
• Provide observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context
• Refer inmates/patients for outside services upon release
• Perform other duties as assigned
