Are you an experienced nursing professional with a passion for providing exceptional care to residents in a long-term care setting? We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead a dedicated team and ensure the delivery of top-quality care for one of our clients
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, focusing on individualized, person-centered care.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing personnel, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and quality of care.
- Collaborate with other department heads to enhance resident outcomes and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Manage and allocate departmental resources efficiently, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and ensure their implementation within the facility.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and community stakeholders, ensuring open communication and a high level of resident satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license (RN or higher) in [State].
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations, including state and federal guidelines.
- Strong clinical expertise and understanding of geriatric care principles.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
