Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our Long-Term Care facility in Chester County, PA. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a supportive healthcare environment.
Salary: $115,000 - $130,000/yr (Depending on Experiene)
Job Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania required
- Active CPR certification required
- Wound Certification required
- Infection Preventionist Certification required
- Three years of Long-Term Care or Rehab experience
- One year of management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, objectives, and practice standards
- Prepare schedules within budgetary guidelines and assist with the budget process
- Maintain and prepare records, documentation, and reports as required by policies and regulations
- Act as a catalyst for quality improvement
- Perform daily rounding on residents and team members
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate regulations
- Create, maintain, and support a safe work environment and work practices
- Responsible for the Comprehensive Resident Assessment and Interdisciplinary Plan of Care process
- Assist with maintenance of nursing policies, procedures, objectives, and standards of practice
- Participate in talent acquisition process, training, supervision, and corrective action for nursing team
- Evaluate job performance and review peer evaluations for assigned team members
- Participate in preparation of nursing schedules to assure adequate staffing and quality care
- Conduct regular team meetings for all shifts
- Maintain accurate resident census reports
- Assist with licensure and certification tracking
- Maintain budgetary control of supply inventory, cost containment, and nursing team
- Develop positive relationships and be accessible to all residents, families, visitors, and team members
- Promote and support a culture of patient-centered care and service
