Lead Counselor Job Description:

Provide education to clients in all aspects of recovery and treatment.

Serves as a professional staff member and team leader of an interdisciplinary care team

Collaboration with the Clinical Service Supervisor to ensure the coordination and continuity of care from intake and admission through discharge and follow-up of the clients.

Provide appropriate clinical documentation of client’s progress in individual and group counseling, as well as assist in monitoring clients activities while at the clinic or center.

Must be able to complete client’s psychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans in a timely manner

To promote Performance Improvement and service delivery that is aligned with the agency’s primary mission to provide the highest level of quality patient care.

Details:

  • Monday – Friday day shift schedule.
  • Salary is dependent upon experience but can range from $42-52k per year
  • Benefits Eligibility includes: 3 weeks of PTO, 401K, full health coverage and annual Leadership Development.
  • Joining an established, national organization with structure and seasoned staff in place with room for growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience in substance abuse field is preferred
  • Licensure required: Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Alcohol and Drug Counselor-Temporary Certification (ADCT)
  • If not licensed, MUST have a minimum of 500 hours of experience in substance abuse and Associates Degree.
  • Ability to provide a minimum of 3 professional references
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
