Are you a certified coding professional with a passion for precision and a commitment to excellence? Our best client is seeking a skilled Medical Coding Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate medical coding related to technology assessments, medical policies, claim payment policies, and adhoc coding projects. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Tuesday – Thursday onsite (Monday and Fridays are fully Remote days)
Pay Range: $25.00 -28.00 Hourly (Paid weekly and eligible for full benefits)
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Conversion potential – need to be in tristate (PA, NJ, DE) and within 2 hours from office, mainly remote role.

You will be a great fit if you match below.

  1. Looking for analytical research driven coder who is at least 3 years certified with CPC or CCS (from either AAPC or AHEMA – professional societies). Candidates will be doing HCPCS codes, CPC codes, diagnostic codes, revenue codes, modifications, etc.
**Candidate MUST be able to code.
  1. Looking for someone with cross specialty coding – surgery, E&M, drug, radiology, etc.
**Not looking for someone who specialized in only one specialty or comes from PCP office. Usually sees successful candidates from local hospitals since they are diverse in their skills set and what they code.
  1. Preferred: Clinical code editing, CMS, coding rules, and research driven (NCCI, CMS - someone who attends meetings / societies).
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Coding Certification (CCS or CPC preferred).
Minimum of three years of work experience in health care or a health-related position.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and management.
Demonstrated experience using medical coding systems, databases, and encoding tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
