Emergency Department Nurse Educator ( RN )

GHR is partnered with a medium-sized acute care hospital in the NYC metro area seeking an Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Educator for a 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity to work within one of the largest hospital health networks in the US!

Details:

• Monday to Friday dayshift schedule
• 13-week contract with the option to extend or transition to permanent employment
• Travel Packages are available for candidates outside of a 50-mile radius
• Hourly rates based on experience: $65-80/HR
• Overtime-eligible after 40 hours

Emergency Department Nurse Educator ( RN ) Responsibilities Include:

• Facilitates unit-based orientation and participates in the Nursing Continuing Education programs.
• Works closely with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers to develop and implement educational strategies to enhance the clinical performance of nursing staff in the Emergency Services Division
• Responsible for the orientation, education, and training of all new emergency room nursing employees
• Provides ongoing education and training of existing employees within the ED
• Ensure clinical nursing staff is up to date with certifications and clinical competencies.
• Participates in Hospital Training Committees
• Participates in quality improvement projects within the health system
• Responsible for implementing and educating nursing staff on new programs and competencies related to the clinical specialty area

Emergency Department Nurse Educator ( RN ) Job Requirements

• Valid RN licensure in the state of New York
• Five years of clinical nursing experience in the Emergency Department
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a clinical nurse educator
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Clinical Educator Experience in Emergency Department
• CEN preferred
